The students and staff of Esperanza Special Needs School in
Mission Viejo, California, experience a unique environment every day—one filled
with love, hope and understanding. Special needs education is something most
will never experience or understand, but at Esperanza, it’s no mystery why
students flourish. The teachers create an environment where learning and
acceptance are most important.
Each and every student at Esperanza is important. Together, their unique personalities form a group of not just students with “special needs,” but a family that learns and loves together. The faces of the students reflect one thing above all else: hope.
Summer of Hope was published in the Saddleback Valley News, a weekly product of the Orange County Register in Santa Ana, CA.
